Ivan is a qualified Higher Education teacher and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, with many years’ experience teaching students studying various creative practice subjects – filmmaking, fine art, photography and acting as well as music.

Previously, he has worked in the film/tv industry, in film history and film industry research and as a guitar teacher.

Ivan is experienced working with students across the range of learning needs and learning styles and believes strongly in the ability of anybody to become not just a great creative practitioner but an effective creative thinker, researcher and writer too. At LCCM he works with students at all levels, supporting and training them to produce their best academic work. He is a positive listener and a proactive advocate for students, delivering personalised support appropriate to the student’s need.
