Academic Writing & Research Skills

Michelle is an educator with a background in IT and in academic English teaching at colleges and universities in the UK and Latin America.  She combines teaching and coaching to empower students to think and to level-up in their academic skills.  

Michelle has been key in building the student success service at LCCM, and the students she works with learn that their job isn’t to be perfect but to have confidence that they can do well with academic writing tasks given guidance, practice and time (even Shakespeare had to be taught his craft!)   

Michelle helps learners to breakdown work into manageable chunks, and to plan, research, and write.  She likes to remind them to reflect on their achievements given the competing demands they may have on their time.
